今年暑假，重庆沙坪坝区树人景瑞小学组建红领巾志愿服务队，带领孩子们走出校园，开展“保护母亲河”的主题实践活动。志愿服务队的30多名队员来自学校各个年级。

保护母亲河，先从了解母亲河开始。“同学们，你心目中的长江是什么样的？”在学校开设的暑期小课堂上，孩子们七嘴八舌地讨论起来，在手抄报上画出自己心目中的母亲河。

“拥抱”母亲河，则是孩子们最期待的活动。在老师的带领下，志愿服务队走出校园，来到长江边的一处亲水码头，近距离观察水域环境。在码头边的草地上，孩子们发现了不少垃圾。

“夏天是长江的汛期，之前洪水通过后，从上游带来的泥沙和垃圾就被留在了岸边。” 带队的郭春燕老师告诉同学们，等到下一轮洪水到来，这些垃圾又会被重新淹没，带到更远的下游。“我们要赶在下一次洪水到来前，将这些垃圾清理干净。”

同学们两三人一组，拿上手套、火钳、清洁袋等工具，干劲十足地捡拾起来。六年级的孙诗语是队长，她带着低年级的小队员不一会儿就装满了一小袋，额头上很快沁出了汗珠。

人多力量大，100多米长的码头区域很快就被清理干净。同学们围拢到一起，收集整理捡拾到的“战利品”：烟头、塑料袋、泡沫板、易拉罐……每个小组都“收获满满”。

“易拉罐是金属铝做成的，能用来回收”“塑料瓶压扁后再回收，可以节约空间”……这时，老师们不失时机地讲起了垃圾的种类及处理方式，孩子们边听边动手分类，实践活动又成了一堂生动的“垃圾分类课”。8岁的小队员马晨皓说，以后自己不会乱扔垃圾了，回家了还要教爸爸妈妈学会垃圾分类。

“暑假是孩子们走出校园、参加社会实践的好机会，能帮助孩子们学到许多课本上学不到的知识。”树人景瑞小学校长李华是红领巾志愿服务队的发起人，她说，希望通过这些实践活动帮助孩子们在实践中有所收获和成长，度过一个安全健康、快乐充实、意义丰富的假期，留下一段宝贵的经历。（完）
